Landfall and Changes
Our ocean passage from New Caledonia with "Ocelot" and "Perigrenata" was an uneventful one. Soon after landfall though, in Moreton Bay along with "Ocelot", many in our fleet encountered heavy weather conditions and were forced into ports further north than ourselves.
Being a modern, developed country, our remote island experiences would be replaced by the challenges of touring a vast country as large as the U.S.
In store for us were farewells to those in our cruising fleet who we had come to know through our journeys across the South Pacific, and to our sons, who were moving on to their new dreams in life. Cruising Oceania was our last hurrah together and they will be terribly missed.
Friends of the High Seas - A Celebration Up the Brisbane River
Three cruising sisters of the high seas: "Perigrenata" to my left, Sue on "Ocelot" to my right.
Our sons with (from left) Alex and Katrina on "Perigrenata", and Amanda on "Ocelot".
Cameron's Visit from Costa Rica
The Surfing Dudes of Australia - Cameron Wales from "Salu" (the boys' cruising bud from the Bahamas), arrived for a month of adventure during Christmas. We took to the road to tour the east coast in search of waves, but they ended up finding the best ones in Yamba from where we started.
One of Adam's main interest is photography. He has taken the majority of shots in this website, choosing to be the observer while the rest of us show off. His fine talent is represented on these pages.
Celebrations on High School graduations!
May our sons find peace and harmony in their new lives.
